Situated in the South West of Western Australia, the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup has a population of 4,300. The first Cultural Plan was developed in 2001 for the Balingup community; in 2003, a Plan was developed for the Donnybrook community. A Cultural Planning Advisory Group was formed in 2003 to make recommendations regarding cultural activities to Council.
