Friday 20 February - Sunday 14 March 2004

The Adelaide Fringe is the largest arts festival in Australia and second only to Edinburgh on the world stage. It celebrates and showcases what's new in the arts and creates an environment for artists and audiences to engage.

The Fringe encourages the widest possible range of artists to register and participate. The registered artist program is fundamental to the success and appeal of the Adelaide Fringe and together with the Fringe-produced special events generates that Fringe festival 'vibe'.


  Fringe HUB

The Fringe HUB will be the precinct for the Fringe during Adelaide Fringe 2004. It will house several Fringe venues, events and performances during the 24 day/nights of the Fringe and will be the hive of activity being the home for many Fringe audiences during Adelaide Fringe 2004.


  Adelaide Fringe 2004 Community Projects

In 2004, under the direction of Artistic Director, Karen Hadfield, the Adelaide Fringe will build on the program of special events, programs and initiatives produced in 2002. Some of the 2004 community projects include the:

Artist registrations are currently open - To register go to the Taking Part section of the website at http://www.adelaidefringe.com.au/RegLanding.aspx.

We have every expectation that the artists who choose to participate in Adelaide Fringe 2004 will again present a diverse range events across all art forms, including: physical theatre, dance, contemporary music, contemporary opera, comedy, text-based theatre, poetry recitals, spoken word performances, visual theatre, visual arts, theatre for young people and film & new media.
